SA’s first carbon-neutral truck assembly plant

South Africa is one of the firsts to produce a carbon neutral truck. Man Truck and Bus has converted everything in Pinetown to Solar Energy.

In August 2014 installation of the solar took place and was completed in less than 6 (six) months.

Carbon production sites will reduce carbon emission by 25% by 2020, with Pinetown as a prime location to implement solar energy solutions. Kayser and his team procured expertise from KZN to design and install photovoltaic (PV) systems.
